Cutter Chip Load (CL)
CL = Feed Rate (Inches per minute) / RPM / Number of Teeth
Inch/Millimeter Conversion
Inches: (1″ = 25.4mm) — Millimeters: (1mm = 0.03936″)
IPM = Inches Per Minute
IPR = Inches Per Revolution
RPM = Revolutions Per Minute
SFM = Surface Feet per Minute
D = Drill Diameter
IPM = IPR x RPM
IPR = IPM / RPM
RPM = SFM x 3.82 / D
SFM = D x RPM x 0.26
